Rilke

I haven't bought a book in several months. Thursday morning, I dropped by Barnes and Noble. I looked around. I found something to purchase:

The Selected Poetry of Rainer Maria Rilke
Barnes and Noble

I often long for a meeting of souls. People with whom to converse about poetry while drinking wine and smoking unusual cigarettes in a suspenseful setting. But I read Rilke and realize: I would be a mute imbecile, that guy the others wish had not been invited. His poems relieve me of opinion. All that's left in my head is the experience of what his poems induce beyond the telling.
